Last weekend, I had the pleasure of taking over CDM Sydney/playing the opening set. Afterwards I tried to recreate it at home. If you're wondering why I played a 40 minute set (not 30/60 or 90)... It was a 60min set but in the process of recording (and re-recording it twice) at home, it kept getting shorter/tighter. I especially don't see the value in letting well-known standards play out to tape.
